Elder Law of East Tennessee practices Elder and Special Needs Law, which are highly specialized areas of the law. Our firm is client-centered, focusing on the unique legal needs of the elderly, individuals with special needs, and their families. We deliver professional expertise in a customized manner; each case is handled with the unique goals and needs of the client at its center. Our approach is one of compassionate guidance and advocacy.

The Legal Assistant/Paralegal coordinates communication among attorneys, clients, and the ELET team. Versatility managing detail-oriented tasks and strong people skills are essential. This individual will assist an attorney in managing that attorney’s case load and will be expected to track the current status of each case, oversee successful completion of tasks for clients, and handle general case administration. The Legal Assistant/Paralegal will work closely with other support staff, including public benefits assistants, to complete work on behalf of clients. In addition to drafting and revising legal documents, he or she will process financial and legal correspondence; manage calendar systems; and assist with client consultations. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must. Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal are required. You may view the complete job description here.
